The piece stands approx 11-3/4" tall The piece is in Excellent Condition albeit an old repair on the little boys right arm. This is hard to notice, you do not notice unless viewing with scrutiny. The piece is bottom signed with the Royal Vienna blue wafer.

Large Art Nouveau porcelain group of two boys carrying large baskets. The baskets serve as jardinière. Made around 1890-1900's by the Bohemian porcelain factory Royal Vienna, Ernst Wahliss. Glazed in off white, purple and green colors and with gold decorations. Marked underneath with the company mark as used around 1900 and with model number 1305. Height 27 cm, length 28 cm. Born on March 1, 1837 in Oschatz in the Kingdom of Saxony, Wahliss began his pottery career as the traveling salesman for a porcelain factory at age 30. He later left to found his own ceramics. His works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Sydney, the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and the museum.
